#14 New Shared Exhibition

Art Square Gallery across from the AGO

The new show, Musical Muse, went up today!

In the gallery window on Dundas Street beckons this impeccable sylvan scene in oil by Alejandro Rabazo. He is one of the seven artists, among whom is myself, exhibiting these next two weeks in this charming Café/Gallery across the street from the Art Gallery of Ontario. The show is spearheaded very capably by Julita Wolanska who has provided the impetus and energy to mount this show. Hanging day was actually fun and a pleasure with my good friend Liz Russ who trudged her complete gallery-hanging tool kit and generously shared her expertise all around.  Dianne Secord, Karen Fox, and Christel Scott are the other three artists participating, whose information can be found here.  I’ll be showing again my wild and expressive still life acrylics ( seen below) that needed another “outing”.

The opening reception will be held on Wednesday evening, September 14, from 6 – 9 pm. The show continues until Sunday, September 26. Remember that the AGO is free on Wednesday evenings, so you might combine that with our show across the street. Original art is a Good Thing!

Here are a few views of Opening Night. Please keep in mind how difficult it is to take photos when the gallery is full of people!! (Those I did not get!!)
